THREE SISTER'S HOMEMADE BANANA CHIPS
The firm started its operation on 1995 when Mr. Jose R. Revadeneira was retrenched from the MARCOPPER Mining Corporation. In order to provide his family needs, he ventured on banana chips production.
The firm started supplying banana chips in schools in the nearby communities until it became popular and started supplying clients in Nagcarlan, Laguna and in Sampaloc, Manila.
However, due to lack of competitive packaging and labeling design, the firm could not fully capture the larger market for the products that hinders its productivity. In 2009, Mrs. Carmelita Reyes of Rejano’s Bakery gave chance to the firm by buying bulk of its products and marketing them through its “pasalubong” center in Boac.
But due to the owner’s eagerness to have its own identity, they sought the assistance of DOST to improve their productivity and develop new packaging and labeling design for their products. After a year of DOST-SETUP interventions, the firm realized a noteworthy increase on its production volume and sales that made them grow and became one of the notable “pasalubong” of the province.
The firm is a two time recipient of DOST-SETUP assistance, that fully enhanced the production facility, product quality, and packaging system. With the assistance of Manufacturing Productivity Extension Program (MPEX) the firm is now ready for acquiring License to Operate (LTO) from Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).
The firm also received various awards such as the 2015 and 2018 Best technopreneur award given the DOST-MIMAROPA
